[RF] Newsletter 040703
Members of the RF,
Greetings! Welcome to the April newsletter. Redemption has been a busy fleet in the last month.
Leading off this month's news, the RF welcomes a new group into its ranks. Colonel Licah Fox, the newly appointed Retribution Fleet CO, announced his decision to move the R2F into Redemption on March 29th. Since then, the move has been mostly completed. You may now see the R2F on our roster. I'm going to be working with Licah and the R2F command staff in the near future to help revive the R2F and return it to its former glory. It is my sincere hope that the R2F's stay in our fleet will be short and that we as a fleet can give them the support they need.
In other RF news, Solatium Battalia has been officially closed down. LCM Tracken Hit, the last Solatium CO made this recommendation to me, and I have accepted it. Solatium was a good idea, and the Star Wars Homeworld mod looks really cool, but there was just not anyone interested in playing. Perhaps next time!
The STC has started a TOD of sorts for its Galactic Battlegrounds players. Members will be playing missions that Jester designates and reporting on them for score. Play the TOD mission and help your squad out with your points!
Ghost Sqadron is making great strides. 1LT Joel Lance is the new CO and has been doing an exemplary job. Ghost mission 1.02 is out right now, and the Ghost ITOD is in full swing. Fly Ghosties, fly!
Captain Tyrian Soh-Jin held a melee night for SWAT, but it seems that few people showed up. Tyrian is doing a good job filling in, but it sounds like the members of SWAT need to step it up a notch!
Vanguard Wing has started a series of interactive stories designed to prep members for "getting into" their characters in the upcoming game Galaxies. Stories are broken up by squad, so go write a story to get a better grasp of your character!
Lastly in RF news, LCM Jack "Blazer" Barnes is following the development of "Galactic Conquest," a mod to turn the hit game Battlefield 1942 into a SW game. It looks like it will be a lot of fun, so please look for Blazer's continued updates, which he posts on our bbs.

Also, in other webpage related news, I hope to present a plan for a RF merit system to the Division CO's pretty soon. Contact me if you have any special merit related requests.

Classifieds: Remarkably, we seem to be doing well in the staffing department at the moment. No classified listings today.
That's it for today's NL. Our goal here in Redemption is to provide as many ways as possible for having fun. We have a lot of divisions right now, but that doesn't mean we can't have more! Anybody with a new idea for the RS should contact me, because Redemption Fleet is where new ideas actually turn into something concrete! And that's why we rule.
